Fletcher Fuller

September 3, 1937 - May 2, 2012

Fletcher G. Fuller, Jr., passed away on May 2, 2012 in Anchorage, AK. He was born to Fletcher G. and Irene Fuller in Ocala, Florida on September 3, 1937. A memorial service will be held in Anchorage, Alaska at a later date. Fletcher attended Ocala High School and graduated from the Bolles Military Academy in Jacksonville, Florida in 1955 and he attended the University of Florida in 1960. Fletcher was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for RCA as one of the original engineers with the Mercury Space Program and was a radar specialist for the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo space programs. He moved to Anchorage, Alaska in mid-1970 and lived in his adopted state of Alaska which he loved until the time of his death. Fletcher was active in his church and worked in numerous charitable organizations in Anchorage, AK for the benefit of the homeless. The family states, "He was a good man who will be missed by his friends and family who loved him". He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother John B. Fuller of Ocala, FL; his son Fletcher G. Fuller III of Naples, FL. He is also survived by a large number of loving and caring friends in Anchorage, Alaska whom became part of his extended family.
