I’m Scott Janssen, my wife Debbie and I, along with Jordan Eastman, are the local owners of Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Alaska Cremation Center Eagle River Funeral Home and our newest location Janssen's Mat-Su Funeral Home.
I have been with Evergreen since 1985, was hired by Dave and Eleanor Franke (the original owners), and am very proud to now own these firms. These days I'm known as the Mushin'Mortician. I am a two time Iditarod finisher.
If you have questions about our service options, or, if you would like to prearrange your own burial or cremation plans, we're your best choice.
Over the past 30 years I have spoken to numerous groups, churches, schools and other organizations in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley. I speak about grief, death and dying and what it's like to be a funeral director. Most people have no idea what to do when a loved one dies. Call us, we are here to help.
We have earned a reputation of providing the best and most professional, family oriented service, staffing, and facilities in the area.
We have also been serving our community longer than any other local funeral home. When you experience a death or asked your recommendation, Trust Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Alaska Cremation Center Eagle River Funeral Home or Mat-Su Funeral Home. Where, just like family we're there when you need us.
Contact us 24 hours a day at 907-279-5477 or toll free in Alaska 888-268-5477 or email [email protected]
