I’m Scott Janssen, my wife Debbie and I, along with Jordan Eastman, are the local owners of Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Alaska Cremation Center Eagle River Funeral Home and our newest location Janssen's Mat-Su Funeral Home.
I have been with Evergreen since 1985, was hired by Dave and Eleanor Franke (the original owners), and am very proud to now own these firms.These days I'm known as the Mushin'Mortician. I am a two time Iditarod finisher.

Over the past 30 years I have spoken to numerous groups, churches, schools and other organizations in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley. On May 27, 2015, Janssen Funeral Homes purchased our fourth funeral home; Janssen's Mat-Su Funeral Home located in Palmer, Alaska. We are excited to serve the Wasilla/Palmer area.
