Life Legacy


Anchorage resident Eric B. Quinn, aka Q, died Nov. 23, 2007, in Anchorage. He was 37. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with a service at 11 a.m., Friday at Greater Friendly Temple Church of God in Christ, 6310 DeBarr Road. Elder James Willis will officiate. Pallbearers will be Derel Abrams, Greg Pelham, Adlai Davenport, Vershawn Idom, Eric Reed, Anthony Williams and Antril Sanguinetti. He was born April 4, 1970, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and received his G.E.D. He served in the U.S. Army and was transferred to Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks in 1987. He lived there until 1990, when he moved to Anchorage. Eric owned and operated House of Cuts and was a member of New Antioch Church of God in Christ. He enjoyed basketball, football and spending time with his family. Eric's favorite scripture was Psalms 23, which he had tattooed on his left arm. His family wrote, "Eric was a great husband, father and a loving son." Eric is survived by his daughters, Americle Quinn and Asia Smith, both of Anchorage; mother, Gloria Quinn of Anchorage; wife, Lydia Quinn of Anchorage; mother-in-law, Claudia M. Topps of Anchorage; brother and sister, Tracy Quinn and Victoria Quinn, both of Brooklyn; sisters-in-law, Claudia Abrams, Rosenda Reed and Benita Sanguinetti, all of Anchorage; aunts and uncle, Mary Okonta of Houston, Texas, Reginald Thomas Lyons of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Sandra Kay of Dayton, Ohio; nephews and nieces, Troy Anthony Quinn of Brooklyn, Phoebe Coffield of Houston, Cecilia Coffield of Dayton, Adrian Coffield of Indianapolis, Kennedy Shay Quinn of Brooklyn, and Anthony Williams of Anchorage; and many other family members.
